They are waiting at home

by Jefrin Palsetia (@JefrinP)
Let us all pray to god and thank him for not forgetting to wake us up today :)

She lay there cold and benumbed
That one shrill and my world became hollow
The pain in me couldn’t be moaned
Her raiment dark red, her face sallow

Tears just refused to cease
My soul started crying out vociferously
The silence around me was starting to feel blatant
I picked her in my arms and took a cab instantly

“CPR quick, the BP is dripping”
Four doctors surrounded her, all dressed in grey
Her angel-like visage while she lay there sleeping
Made me smirk with slight glee

‘Nothing will happen, she will survive’
Said a nurse as she walked past the door
The memories of joy spent with her were beginning to revive
My heart in front of the almighty began to pour

After what seemed like an eternity
Dawdling came the doctor out
Loosening his mask, he said,”I am sorry
We tried with all our efficacy, she just wasnt meant to make it”

I stood there staring at her, emotionless
Soon came the flashbacks, the memories i had cherished
The slaughters should have had atleast some decency
Those cowardice bastards shouldnt have just left her to perish

Every half an hour, a person dies because of drunk driving.

Create Underwater Rockets (Missiles) in Photoshop

In this Photoshop tutorial we are going to use Photoshop CS5 Extended 3D feature. To get started we need the following media files -

Create a new Photoshop file of 2048×720 canvas size. Fill the background with #032a79.

First we’re going to create the Ocean scene, So let’s make a new group and name it ‘Ocean’. Set Blend Mode to Pass Through. Now create a new layer inside ‘Ocean’.

With Foreground color as #0a8ee3 and Foreground to Transparent preset from Gradient Editor, Create a Radial Gradient on top-left of the canvas.

Now create a new layer and name it ‘Clouds’. Set the Foreground Color to #149fe0 and background color to #2edefe. Go to Filter»Render»Clouds.

Set the Blend Mode of  ’Clouds’ to Divide and Fill to 33%.

Create a new layer, ‘Lightening Effect’, with Blend Mode as Soft Light. Repeat the step to create a Radial Gradient but with Foreground color as #2edefe. Go to Filter»Render»Lightening Effects… and copy the values from below.

Create a Final layer for ‘Ocean’, ‘Water Overlay’. We are going to use Water Ripples Stock Image or a similar image on this layer. Using eraser tool remove the parts of image which are not covered in shiny areas. You should get a similar image -

The top left part covers ‘Water Overlay’. Set the Blend Mode of this layer to Hard Light.
The Main section of the Tutorial starts here. We will use 3D feature which is available for Photoshop Extended only.
Create a new group named ‘Rockets’, set it’s Blend Mode to Pass Through. Go to 3D»New Layer from 3D File and choose Rocket.obj which you downloaded from here.

Double click on Default Texture to open a new file. We will simply place Texture for 3D Rocket in this new file and save it (Ctrl/Cmd + C). Adjust your rocket using the following available 3D tools -

You will get something similar,

Change the Blend Mode of Rocket layer to Linear Dodge (Add). Make several copies of the Rocket layer to create a similar effect :

To add SONAR Radar, Go to Filter»Place and select SONAR Radar PSD File.

NOTE: I'm not the owner of SONAR Radar PSD File,
found this lying around in my Hard Disk,
If you find the author let me know.

Now you can add some random text to make it look like a screen, leaving you with a final result of the following.

Enjoy :)
